127 Hours is Intense- James Franco

17th September 2010

September 17, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Hollywood superstar James Franco is going to appear in his next film 127 Hours as climber Aron Ralston, who was trapped under a rock for 127 hours. The film depicts the survival story of this courageous climber who almost met his death and survived. Commenting about his role, Franco said that his role was intense and grueling to say the least. The actor also said that despite being incredibly tough, the scenes were particularly rewarding to the artist inside him.

The actor informed reporters that the movie was shot on a stage in Salt Lake City, where the designers had recreated the portion of the Canyon where Aron was trapped. Certain parts of the film were also shot on the real location in Utah. James Franco confessed that he enjoyed working with the British Academy Award winning director Danny Boyle (from 'Slumdog Millionaire').

James informed us that Danny has a unique style of direction that tries to find new approaches to movie-making through experimentation. The movie has been deemed extremely intense because of its violent scenes, where the actor purportedly amputates his own arm. Three of the viewers fainted while watching certain sections of the film during its initial screening at the Toronto Film Festival. We hope Franco's hard work gets appreciated in this movie.
