(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Aaron Eckhart would love a career as a songwriter but his talents havent been recognised yet.
The actor rose to the attention of Hollywood filmmakers by appearing in numerous plays eventually going on to star in hits such as Erin Brockovich, Thank You for Smoking and The Dark Knight.
Aaron still has one ambition that he has yet to fulfil, claiming this is in part down to the fact that his friends - and some outsiders - dont think he is good enough to succeed.
Songwriting used to be my life but I got hurt by it. I believe Im a good songwriter, but other people dont share that. I would have loved to have done it as a profession. Its very personal, he explained.
Aaron - whose next film is the science fiction story World Invasion: Battle LA - was also asked if he is scared of revealing too much of himself through his work.
The 42-year-old isnt sure if he is afraid of writing intimate songs, but accepts he wants his work to be appreciated by other people. He went on to reveal one music star was unimpressed by his musical offering and this has made him question his talent.
I dont know [if Im scared]. I think its more Im a genius, he said. Other people dont share that opinion, so I go, Im not going to do it. I wrote a song for Sheryl Crow, but she didnt like it. (C) Cover Media
