Singer Ankit Tiwari who rose to fame with his song 'Sun Raha Hai Na Tu' from 'Aashiqui 2', has reportedly been arrested on rape charges.

According to a report, the victim, who is Ankit's live-in girlfriend has accused the singer and his brother for threatening her.

The singer had promised to marry the complainant but later went back on his word.

Sources reveal that Ankit had come to meet the girl at her sister's home when she was alone, and he allegedly raped her. 

The victim registerd a complaint with the Versova Police station last night.
