Singer Adnan Sami has been conferred with one of the biggest award in Asia, the Asian Award by British Parliament this year for his outstanding achievement in music. The award was presented by Lord Billimoria, chairman of the judges.

The earlier recipients of this prestigious award are Mother Teresa, Amitabh Bachchan, Ratan Tata, Pandit Ravi Shankar and many others.

A leading daily quoted Adnan saying as, "I am truly honoured & humbled by this award. My sincere thanks & gratitude to all those who helped me in my journey towards this achievement. I dedicate this award to my late father & receive it in the name of India."
