Tension gripped the unit members of Billa 2, as the protagonist of the film 'Thala'- Ajith Kumar was injured while performing a stunt sequence. 'He was alright after being given the first-aid. He resumed shooting after taking rest for a while,' said a source in the unit, however other members of the unit were tensed.'

Recalling as to how the incident happened, the source says, 'It was an action scene which required Ajith to throw bottles at a gang of baddies. While doing so, a bottle broke all of a sudden and hurt his hand. Blood oozed from the injured spot.'

'Though the unit members were shocked and became speechless, Ajith was very cool. He smiled and assured everyone that nothing was wrong and he was alright. A doctor rushed to the spot to give required medication to Ajith. After taking rest for some minutes, the Thala was back to work,' they add.

A sequel to Billa, Ajith's 2007 hit, Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti of Kamal Haasan's Unnaipol Oruvan fame and is being shot in Hyderabad, Goa and Russia. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while beauty queen turned actress Parvathy Omanakuttan plays the female lead.
