There were reports that Ajith might play the lead role in a Tamil remake of Telugu film Dookudu, to be directed by Jayam Raja, who at present is busy with Vijay starrer Velayudham.

However Raja's sibling and popular actor Jayam Ravi has denied the reports. Ravi has tweeted a denial that his brother M Raja is going to direct a film with Ajith.

A source said: 'Yes it’s true that Ajith has given his dates to producer A M Ratnam, but nothing has been confirmed about the director. As of now Ajith is doing Ratnam’s film once he completes Billa 2 by January. Till then there is time to choose a script and director.'

Meanwhile, Ajith has said that he would like to visit the Himalayas soon. 'Rajini sir gave me a lot of books about the holy mountain and has kindled me an interest to pay a visit to the Himalayas,' he said.
