Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson starrer '2.0' went on floors last year. The makers of the film completed the first schedule and took a break before starting the next schedule as Akshay was busy with his other work commitments. Finally they have started shooting for the film in Chennai.
While they decided to start their next schedule in December 2016 CM of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha's death stalled the shoot. Later heavy rains in the state got shoot to a halt and even destroyed the equipments on the sets.
A leading daily quoted director Shankar’s nephew Pappu Shankar saying as, "The delay was primarily because of the December rains that destroyed the sets. Then came Christmas and New Year. The film's crew, which comprises Western technicians for special effects, had to leave for the holidays."
The Jallikattu ban controversy also affected the shoot of the film. Now they have resumed shooting again in Chennai with Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson.
