The 52-year-old actor has worked with some of Hollywoods top actresses in his lengthy career, and he says that many of the current crop of young female stars dont particularly inspire him.

However, he has revealed Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively does appeal to him because she seems so much more sensible than her peers.

These younger girls...are the biggest stars, who are the role models...I'm a big fans of hers, he gushed about Blake in an interview with E! Online. I think she's a really, really gorgeous woman, very stylish. These are the ones who have all the influence.

The actor thinks 23-year-old Blake makes a far better role model for young ladies than most of her movie star counterparts, although he refused to name any names. He also hit out at stars who use recreational drugs and regularly post details about their lives on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

There are certain people who, I won't name, but they are in and out of rehab, they're getting arrested for drug use and they're twittering about their drug problem - it's a shame, he lamented.
