Amitabh Bachchan recently watched Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer 'Badhaai Ho' and was all praises for Neena Gupta's performance. In the midst of hosting KBC, Big B managed to watch the film and sent a praiseworthy handwritten note attached to a flower bokeh.
The 76-year-old admired Neena Gupta's performance from the film and penned an open letter in Hindi appreciating the actress's work. An elated Neena Gupta shared the received flower bokeh and an open letter from Amitabh Bachchan and wrote, "Aapse ye patr aur pushp paake ankhen khushi se bhar aain. Thank you so much, Amitabh Bachchan sir." Meanwhile, the film 'Badhaai Ho' has made over Rs 100 crore at the box office (and still counting). The current total of the film is Rs 119.30 crore.
This family entertainer has hit the right chord in the heart of the audiences and Neena Gupta who is paired opposite Gajraj Rao in the film. On speaking about bagging a major role in the film, Neena Gupta told to a leading daily "I did not even read the script of the film because the subject was so interesting. Female actors of our age don't get a chance to play such interesting characters. This phase of our life is not addressed only in our Hindi cinema. But I think the change is happening because of the youngsters who are writing such scripts."
'Badhaai Ho' is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and was released a day before Dussehra on 18th October.
