(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Alexis Jordan loves being on stage because it's when she lets her fans see her true emotions.

The American singer caught the attention of Jay-Z and production group Stargate after posting clips of herself singing on YouTube and is now signed to their label Star Roc/Roc Nation.

Singing is all Alexis has ever wanted to do and she doesn't understand why some musicians get worried before performances. She relishes the chance to show her fans how much music means to her.

"Not any more but I used to," she replied, when asked if she still gets nervous before shows. "Performing just feels right to me because it lets me share my emotions with my fans."

Alexis reached the semi-finals of America's Got Talent in 2006. Singing in front of so many people helped her hone her talent and she now has big plans for the future.

"I'd love to work with Christina Aguilera because her vocals are amazing," she enthused to Shout magazine. (C) Cover Media
