Ali Landry "abstained from having sex" with her husband until after they were married.
The 38-year-old former Miss USA model and the Extra presenter wed director husband Alejandro Monteverde in 2006.
Ali and her former flame Mario Lopez wed in 2004, but split two weeks after the ceremony after allegations of him cheating surfaced.
Ali didn't want her relationship with Alejandro to turn out similarly sour.
"Because of the situation I was in before, I was just treading lightly, and did not want to make any mistakes in this relationship," Ali said on The Wendy Williams Show Thursday. "We abstained from having sex until we got married."
Ali feels that she should have followed her gut a little more while she was still with Mario.
"I had heard something right before the wedding," she recalled. "He swore that it was not true, but I had that feeling in my gut. All of my family was flying in it was a destination wedding and I really should have put the brakes on it at that point, but I was afraid."
Ali is still having trouble coping with the impact Mario's alleged adultery has had on her life.
"I confronted him and he still to this day denied it and never apologised," she said. "It was horrible."
Ali is now happily married with two kids and she is feeling better than ever.
"I was so side-swiped by the whole thing... I never really got angry [with Mario]," she explained. "I discovered a lot about myself and I'm a better woman because of it. I met my husband at a theology class in LA who knew? He was the person I was meant to be with."
Ali and Alejandro have four-year-old daughter Estela and five-month-old son Marcelo together.
Mario is currently engaged to Courtney Mazza, with whom he has 17-month-old daughter Gia.
