(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Alicia Keys says having her first child made her realise how complex an ear is.

The 29-year-old singer/songwriter gave birth to her and record producer husband Swizz Beatzs first child on October 14, a boy called Egypt Daoud Dean.

Alicia loves being a mother, so she took to her blog to write a gushing post about how wonderful Egypt is, entitled I Feel a Song Coming On.

The proud new mother said having Egypt has made her realise just how miraculous the human body is, and shes especially perplexed by her sons ears.

"I'm most enamored with anatomy at this point. The miracle of the human body. The ability to create all these small amazing machines of veins, capillaries, digestive systems, eyes, ears and noses (sic)," wrote Alicia.

"I can spend HOURS looking at one little EAR! Have u ever noticed how complex just an ear is? A tiny maze of art (sic).

Beautiful Alicia still cant get over the fact that she and 32-year-old Swizz Beatz real name Kasseem Dean have created another human being together. Becoming a parent has made the songstress realise we should never take our bodies for granted.

"Every day we wake up and in some way, take for granted the fact that this beautiful pulsating organ in our body is the reason, and yet now that's all I can think of... I can't believe he's mine!" she beamed. (C) Cover Media
