(Cover) - EN Star Style - Alyssa Milano has blasted designers for using real fur in this day and age.

The 38-year-old actress - who is famed for her eight-year stint as Phoebe Halliwell on American drama Charmed is a big style fan, and has been keeping her eye on the current catwalk shows as part of New York Fashion Week.

Fur appears to be as popular as ever, which has infuriated the animal-loving actress.

Im not sure I understand, how in this day and age, some designers still use real fur in their collections. I mean, really (sic)? she wrote on her Twitter page.

The pretty brunette feels there are so many other materials which should be embraced and sees no reason why fur should be worn. Alyssa likes using her celebrity to make a difference to society. She has previously collaborated with animal rights organisation PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and appeared wearing a robe made of vegetables for one campaign advocating vegetarianism.
