(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Glee actress Amber Riley insists she doesn't want to be a "30-year-old high school student".

The 25-year-old star plays feisty Mercedes Jones in the popular American television show about a group of misfits who belong to a musical club. The show's co-creator Ryan Murphy recently revealed that Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith will be leaving the programme after season three as their characters leave high school.

Amber wasn't surprised to learn that some of the cast would be cut and accepts it was the most realistic decision to make. She is confident Lea, Chris and Cory will have no problem landing new and exciting projects.

"I think everyone's pretty OK with it we've had an amazing two seasons [and] we're about to do Season 3," Amber told Access Hollywood Live. "It's been absolutely amazing, but I don't want to be a 30-year-old high school student either!

"I think they're fine with it. I don't think it's the end of the world for them."

Amber loves working on Glee and is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to show off her musical and acting talents. She says the show helped to launch her career and hopes she will continue to enjoy success once she leaves her character behind.

"Glee was just a great catapult for us," she added. "Nobody knew who we were and we'll always be thankful for it. It's just been an amazing blessing." (C) Cover Media
