The Ugly Betty star has revealed how she likes to spend her leisure time between new projects since the US hit show was axed in 2010.

The 27-year-old, who is best known for playing geeky assistant Betty Suarez in the comedy programme, enjoys exploring the US city on two wheels and going to the theatre.

"My favourite thing to do is just ride my bike around the city," she was quoted as saying. "I cycle around and catch a few shows. It's great."

America also mentioned that she has several new projects in the pipeline, but wouldn't reveal exactly what they are. This year, the actress has appeared in US show The Good Wife and will lend her voice to the sequel of animated movie How To Train Your Dragon.

"I have a few things lined up," she adds. "Nothing that's coming out yet but I'm excited about it," she said. (C) Cover Media
