(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Connelly has given birth to a girl.

The actress and her husband Paul Bettany already raise two kids together, Kai, 13 and seven-year-old Stellan. Kai is Jennifer's son from a previous relationship.

It's now been confirmed Jennifer gave birth to daughter Agnes Lark Bettany at their New York home on May 31.

"Everyone is healthy and doing well," Jennifer representative told Us Weekly. "The family is very excited."

Agnes was born in a birthing pool, as the couple had planned.

The couple announced Jennifer, 40, was expecting in December. She has been vocal about the problems she's suffered during the pregnancy, revealing her morning sickness was atrocious.

"The first three months were very sketchy," she said. "You know how like you have your cell phone and you have to stand in one spot? It was like that with nausea. I had to stand in one spot, which happened to be in front of my refrigerator, which was open with me dipping pretzels in cream cheese and stuffing them in my mouth."

Jennifer and Paul married in 2003, after meeting while shooting 2001 movie A Beautiful Mind. (C) Cover Media
