Amrita earns herself an 'IIFA' nomination

Another coveted nomination graces Amrita Puri's notable entry into Bollywood. Amrita who essayed a supporting role in the chick flick 'Aisha'was praised more than the film itself. The film, which was thrashed by critics for being too cheesy and glossy, was tagged as just a fashion-oriented film that lacked substance. In spite of all odds, the talented Amrita managed to garner some attention towards her acting skills, as she won the "Best breakthrough Performance" award at the Stardust awards and has been nominated for "Best Actress in a supporting Role at Zee Cine Awards and Star Screen Awards. For the 56th Film fare Awards, she was nominated in 2 categories, Best Debut and Best Supporting.

A recent feather in her cap, is that the talented actress has successfully earned a nomination in the most awaited award ceremony of the country, IIFA. Such a big achievement already under her belt, that too so early in her career, is something even Amrita wouldn't have dreamt of. The actress who played second fiddle to Sonam Kapoor, is certainly gaining first hand compliments, while basking in it's the glory. Looks like the girl is here to stay
