Angelina Jolie: Dont judge my film yet

15th October 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Angelina Jolie has addressed reports about her new movie, asking people to hold judgement until it is released.

The Hollywood star has been forced to speak out after rumours surfaced claiming her as-yet untitled directorial debut will see a Bosnian rape victim fall in love with her Serbian captor. Young Bosnian actress Zana Marjanovic has landed the lead role in the wartime film, which is currently shooting in Budapest, Hungary.

Angelina has admitted the script does contain some difficult scenarios, but she insists they have been carefully dealt with.

"There are many twists in the plot that address the sensitive nature of the relationship between the main characters, and that will be revealed once the film is released," Angelina said in a statement. "My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film.

"Obviously, any dramatic interpretation will always fail those who have had a real experience.

Rumours began circulating after the movie was reportedly denied a permit in Bosnia because there wasnt a screenplay attached to the application. However, the script has now been sent to the culture ministry and it is hoped the decision will be reversed.

"This is not the story in the script," a source told Us Magazine about the rumours. "There are people trying to sabotage the movie. It is highly likely the script will be reviewed within a day or so and all of this will be resolved."

Meanwhile, it has been reported James Cameron is in talks with movie bosses about directing Angelina in the new Cleopatra film. Brian Helgeland is believed to be writing the script, while Scott Rudin is set to act as producer. The new movie will be based on Stacy Schiffs book Cleopatra: A Life. (C) Cover Media
