Angelina Jolie is prudish' director

8th December 2011

Angelina Jolie felt "prudish" while helming sex scenes for her directorial debut.

The Hollywood star's latest offering is In the Land of Blood and Honey a Bosnian War romance that tells the story of a woman in a prison camp and her military captor.

Angelina admits she felt more uncomfortable than actors Zana Marjanovic and Goran Kostic.

"What's funny is I probably was more sensitive to the situation. I believe it was Zana's first love scene and Goran is a family man with wife and kids. You kind of suddenly feel this strange thing of asking people to participate in anything like that. Because they're not a real couple. And you find out how strange this is to ask anybody to get naked together and put a camera on them," she explained in an interview with USA Today.

"They actually made me more comfortable. I was being a lot more prudish. I would have allowed them to be more prudish and they told me it was all right and important for the story. They wanted to do what they wanted to do and were comfortable. Early on, I told them - especially her - that I've been through it and felt misrepresented when it comes to that stuff."

Angelina appreciated actress Zana's figure. The beauty wanted to show the star in a positive light.

"I felt very protective, especially of her body. But being exposed in a way was part of the story. She has a very beautiful body that is very organic in that European sense," she revealed.

"She is a real woman and a beautiful woman."
