Angelina Jolie: Kids don't like awards season

16th January 2012

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's six children "are mad" it is awards season.

The actress walked the red carpet with her Hollywood heartthrob partner at the Golden Globe Awards last night and explained their extensive brood would prefer them to stay in.

The couple have adopted kids Maddox, ten, Pax, eight, and seven-year-old Zahara as well as biological children Shilo, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne together.

"[They ask] 'Why do you have to go to work again? Why can't you stay home?' So yeah, they're mad," Angelina told Extra.

When asked if they considered 2011 a particularly successful year for both their careers, Angelina and Brad said that their life revolves around their big family.

Despite gaining critical acclaim for his role in The Tree of Life, Brad insisted that his biggest achievement is raising their family.

"I think six kids is a career," he said. "Our life revolves around that, but it's so wonderful to share the night together," Angelina added.

The smitten couple proved that the spark in their relationship is still alive when Brad showed his admiration for the brunette beauty's gown.

A figure-hugging cream dress with a thigh-high split, the actor joked the dress caused a minor accident when he first saw it.

"I actually bumped into a chair with my bad knee," laughed Brad. "It's a true story!"
