Angelina Jolie: My brood is manageable

6th July 2012

Angelina Jolie says her large family is "more manageable" now that the children are getting older.

The actress raises six children with fiance Brad Pitt; biological daughter Shiloh, six, and twins Vivienne and Knox, three, as well as adopted children Maddox, ten, Zahara, seven, and Pax, eight. Angelina says that while her clan is keeping her busy, motherhood has changed her life for the better.

"It's always hectic but more manageable than when I had two very small babies who needed to be constantly with me," she told the UK edition of OK! Magazine. "That was the most difficult time but even then it was also a very beautiful time in our lives. For me, being a mother has enriched my world so much more than I could ever have imagined. It's hard to say that I needed to be able to care for children to become happy in my life, but I think there's a lot of truth to that."

Angelina also revealed how she finds the time to get involved with so many humanitarian causes. The star became an UNHCR goodwill ambassador in 2001 and travels all over the world in the role.

"I have a lot of drive and energy and I don't really think about whether I'm tired or haven't been able to get involved with a film project or not," she simply stated.
