Angelina Jolie's dad tries to spend "special time" with his grandchildren.

Award winning actor Jon Voight reveals he likes to give his individual attention to each of Angelina's six children with her fiance Brad Pitt.

The 73-year-old explains how each of Angelina's brood are unique. Jon regards them as completely different individuals and he has a separate relationship with them all as a result.

"I'm thinking about each child and how each is so different one from the other," Jon told ET Canada. "When I see them I try to spend special time with each one of them."

The ageing film star says he shares a strong bond with one particular grandchild. Jon reveals that seven-year-old Zahara, who was born in an orphanage in Ethiopia, is a particularly special member of the Jolie-Pitt family. Jon says Zahara rewards her grandfather by making him smile.

"She seemed to know that she's been saved. When they first found her she was almost not alive and then one day she started smiling and she hasn't stopped smiling!" Jon gushed. "When I play with her she teases me, she laughs at me and she screams and it cracks her up!"
