It is Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma's debut feature film which was earlier titled as 'Loveratri'. The film was surrounded by controversy due to its title which is adapted from a Hindu festival 'Navratri'. The issue got tensed when a PIL was filed against the film's team for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus.
Bihar's Muzaffarpur Civil Court has lodged an FIR against actor Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma, Warina Hussain and 7 others, claiming that the romantic movie is being released around the auspicious festival of Navratri for hurting the sentiments of Hindus. This made the makers revisit to their title and get it changed to 'LoveYatri' which suits the film perfectly. The tagline 'Journey of Love' fits perfectly as well.
A source close to the makers shared, "Taking into consideration the concerns from the Censor Board and sensitivity of Karni Sena towards the title of the film, the makers decided to release the film as LoveYatri."
He further adds,"Producer Salman Khan decided to opt for a change in title considering the safety and best interest of his audience."
While the 'Race 3' actor tweeted the new poster of the film with a new title and captioned it, "This is not a spelling mistake."
