Angelina Jolie received support from several important men in her life at her movie premiere.

A red carpet event for In the Land of Blood and Honey, Angelina's directorial debut, was hosted at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood last night.

Angelina's ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller, whom she wed in March 1996 and divorced in 1999, attended the premiere with his current wife Michele Hicks at his side.

"[Jonny] came in and sat in the front part of the theatre," an eyewitness told Life & Style magazine.

Angelina's current partner Brad Pitt whom she has six children with was also in attendance.

According to onlookers Brad was more concerned about Angelina's wellbeing than with the presence of his mate's former husband.

"It's so cold out there; I had to come inside," a premiere attendee overheard Brad remark.

"I don't know how Angie is standing out there in that dress."

Brad was a pillar of support for Angelina throughout the affair.

"He hugged her and put his hand on her back," a witness recalled.

"He was very loving and sweet."

Since their break up Angelina and Jonny have remained friends. In 2005 the pair worked on a Peace One Day charity project devoted to bringing harmony into communities.

Angelina's formerly estranged father Jon Voight was also there yesterday evening to support his daughter.

In the Land of Blood and Honey will be released in the US at Christmas.
