Anne Hathaway is so amazed to be playing Catwoman she is waiting to be told she "got Punk'd".
The actress is Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's latest Batman instalment The Dark Knight Rises. Anne can't believe she has won such an iconic part and still thinks it might all be an elaborate hoax.
"I couldn't believe that this was even an opportunity made available to me and then when I actually got it I, I mean it it's a little bit too good to be true," the actress told Access Hollywood. "I'm kind of waiting for someone to come out and just be like, Psych! You got Punk'd!'"
Christian Bale reprises his role as Batman for a third time in the new movie.
When he first tried on the iconic superhero suit he feared he had made a big mistake.
"I felt like they should recast. I really did because it was so claustrophobic that I didn't feel like I could breathe. I felt they've made a mistake and I can't do this," he explained. "I took some time and I breathed deeply and asked to be left alone for 15, 20 minutes and just sat with it and eventually got used to it."
The Dark Knight Rises is released worldwide later this month.
