The brunette actress and fellow actor James Franco became two of the most talked-about people in Hollywood after it was revealed they would be co-presenting the 2011 Academy Awards, which took place on Sunday.
Despite co-hosting the prestigious event, the 28-year-old star wasnt immediately let into one of the after-parties as she had misplaced her invitation.
"Anne couldn't find her ticket," an onlooker told the New York Post. "She was the Oscar host, and they still wouldn't let her in. She was fumbling for her ticket, but security told her to step to the 'resolution desk', where she had to explain who she was. Finally, they let her through."
Anne attended a variety of parties after the awards ceremony. The star mingled at the Vanity Fair bash, and the Weinstein party at the Chateau Marmont, where she danced with King's Speech producer Gareth Unwin.
Despite bringing their talents to the forefront while presenting the Academy Awards thanks to a variety of comedy sketches and wardrobe changes, James and Annes performance was met with mixed critical reception.
Her fashion sense was praised though, with Anne wearing eight different outfits during the ceremony. She was also paid $750,000 to wear Tiffany & Co. jewellery as she hosted Hollywood's biggest event on the calendar, according to US magazine. Anne dazzled on the red carpet in Tiffanys $10 million Lucida Star diamond necklace, diamond earrings and ring.
The star has admitted she was nervous about the prestigious hosting role because she was thinking about the audience. Anne felt a lot of pressure to do the awards justice, and doesnt even have time to recover as shes appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show this week.
"I was really nervous about hosting, there's a lot of people watching," she said. "Hosting the Oscars, then Oprah, I can't really believe it." (C) Cover Media
