(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Gerard Butler has teased it will be challenging to play a ladies man in his latest movie project.

The 41-year-old Scottish actor is about to begin shooting Playing the Field, a comedy about a former professional athlete who decides to coach his sons soccer team before realising he cannot resist the feminine charms of his students stunning mothers.

He will play the films lead character, and admits he isnt having too much trouble getting into character as he enjoys the company of beautiful women - Gerard has previously been romantically linked to gorgeous stars such as actress Jennifer Aniston and model Martina Rajic.

"I play a former athlete who coaches his son's soccer team and gets distracted by the soccer moms - so it's going to be a challenging role for me," he laughed to the New York Post.

The film will also star Hollywood beauties Jessica Biel and Uma Thurman, and is set for release in 2012. Gerard has been enjoying the recent awards season, and partied at the Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday night with British action star Jason Statham, 43, and his model-and-actress girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, 23.
