(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Antonia Campbell-Hughes has likened being on the set of her new film to eating with an Italian family.
The actress is currently starring in the Alexandra McGuinness-directed film Lotus Eaters. The Northern Irish star - who is best known for her work on British television - stars as the central character Alice, who is a struggling model. The drama follows a group of youngsters from Londons social elite who lead an excessive lifestyle involving lavish parties.
Antonia has likened being on set around the rest of the vocal cast to eating round a table with a big Italian family.
My character in the film Alice, shed dealing with all these people around her who have very strong personalities, who are all very vocal. It reminds me of an Italian family, and they are all sitting round a table and they all talk at once. Its like survival of the fittest, and you have to speak over each other to be heard, she told Cover Media.
The 28-year-old star sometimes found being around such confident actors daunting. The film features a host of emerging British talent including Benn Northover, Amber Anderson, Daisy Lewis and Katrena Rochell Millar. Antonia says they all asserted their position on set.
They are all so confident, so vibrant, alive and beautiful, she said. (C) Cover Media
