Anupam Kher honoured with 'Distinguished Fellow'

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher who recently resigned as the chairman of FTII recently got honoured with 'Distinguished Fellow' title at the Cambridge MIT Sloan School of Management here. An elated Kher shared some pics from the event holding on with a still with the portrait degree, all smiles on.

He captioned these pictures, "Thank you #IndiaGlobal at Cambridge MIT Sloan School Of Management, Boston for conferring on me #TitleOfDistinguishedFellow. This honour gives me a further sense of responsibility towards my country. A lower middle class Kashmiri boy from Shimla has come a long way. Jai Ho."

A proud moment for the Indian film fraternity as the roots of the actor comprises from the motherland India. 

A full-day India Global Summit at MIT Sloan School of Management was an opportunity to learn about India's emerging influence in the global economy. Anupam was one of the key speakers. The 63-year old actor has featured in over 500 films, has been busy shooting in New York for American series 'New Amsterdam'.

His resignation as chief of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) was a surprise move but that was understood following his commitment to the projects he is associated with. Kher was last seen in Tabrez Noorani's 'Love Sonia' in which he played a negative role of Baldev Pratap Singh. He will be next seen in Vijay Gutte directorial 'The Accidental Prime Minister' as former PM Manmohan Singh.
