Director Anand Kumar who recently made the film 'Zila Ghaziabad', is all set to make another film titled 'Meerut Junction'. Though the former didn't do so well at the box office, the film has garnered good business at single screen theatres.

It was heard that Abhishek Bachchan was already considered to play the lead in Meerut Junction. But the buzz is that Anushka Sharma and Huma Qureshi have been approached to play the female leads.

In 'Zila Ghaziabad' though there were around four to five women, the story was surrounded more on the men. But in this film, it will be different as the women have huge roles to play.

Looking for small town girls, the director felt Anushka and Huma would do justice to the roles as they did in 'Band Baaja Baaraat' and 'Gangs of Wasseypur' respectively.

When Anand was contacted about the developments he said, "Yes, I am reaching out to them. They are the best fit for my film."
