Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is associated with the 16th Mumbai Film Festival. She has been very vocal about it and has been supporting the film fest by all means.

She believes that film festivals are extremely important to promote films in the country and across cultures. She is proud of the kind of work that has been encouraged in this film festival.

"I am really glad to be associated with it. The kind of work that's being done here is commendable," she said. She stated that film festivals help talent grow.

"I personally feel that it's important to have film festivals. We know what's out there in the world because we travel..we have exposure. These festivals also serve a similar purpose by giving people access to cinema from around the world," Anushka added.
