Arjun to play gangster

13th August 2014

Bollywood’s inclination towards the crime world seems to be getting deeper with each passing day. After films on encounters, dons and the mafia rule, filmmakers are now focussing on the lives of the dreaded dons. They are exploring the lesser known lives of these gangsters.

While John Abraham stunned the audiences and critics with his film 'Shootout At Wadala' based on the life of gangster Manya Surve, it is now being reported that another don from Mumbai is being considered as the main subject for a film.

This time Worli based Don Arun Gawli's life is being subjected to the screen. And we hear that Arjun Rampal is being considered to play the part.

The film is being planned by Sachin Darekar who while doing his research on an international show about Indian mafia, came across Arun's story. He has apparently penned the script for the film. While doing his research, he also met Gaurav Bavadankar, a UK based ad filmmaker, who he plans to offer the film to direct.

Though the film is in nascent stage, the plans on making it are strong.
