(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly been chatting to the mother of his love child about meeting up with the boy.

In May, the action star and former Governor of California confessed to fathering a child with another woman during his marriage to journalist Maria Shriver. Maria and Arnold announced they had split as a result, with divorce proceedings now underway.

The mother of the child was revealed to be Mildred Patricia Baena, who is known as Patty, and had been an employee at the Schwarzenegger household.

According to website TMZ, Arnold has been in discussions with Patty about a possible meeting with their 13-year-old son Joseph.

"Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mildred Patty' Baena are spending time together - on the phone - and are even discussing a face-to-face reunion with their son Joseph," reports the publication.

There had previously been reports Patty and Arnold had been meeting in the flesh, although TMZ's sources claim their communication has only been via the telephone.

Apparently the pair have "spoken over the phone several times - including the night the scandal broke".

Patty has reportedly been keeping a low profile and avoiding her home in Bakersfield, California, due to all the attention focused on her.

Earlier this month Maria filed for divorce from Arnold, calling time on their 25-year marriage. According to reports Maria cited irreconcilable differences for the split and is seeking shared custody of their minor children Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13. The pair also have two grown up daughters - Katherine, 21, and Christina, 19.

It has been claimed the former couple will split their joint fortune of around $400 million. (C) Cover Media
