The 82- year old singer Asha Bhosle has been serving the film industry with her euophonious voice for almost six decades now. The legendary singer will perform for the paramilitary forces, who are serving in the remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, said that the singer made the offer to him during a function in Maharashtra recently. He also said, "I am deeply touched, she offered me to sing for our soldiers at border. Hopefully, we could take her to some of the forward border posts in September-October."

The details of the show and the schedule are under process. She will also visit the Wagah border in Punjab.
