Ashton Kutcher "just wants to move on" from his estranged wife Demi Moore.

Demi suffered a seizure on January 23 while Ashton was in Brazil celebrating So Paulo Fashion Week.

She was treated for exhaustion in hospital, and there were rumours she was also getting help for substance abuse and an eating disorder.

The 33-year-old actor and his wife have been separated for nearly two months.

Ashton reportedly feels that he is ready to release himself from the emotional ties they shared as man and wife.

"He just wants to move on," a source told Us Weekly. "He cares about Demi and would help if asked, but he's not part of her life anymore."

Ashton felt overburdened with obligations while the pair was together. He took the care of Demi's three daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah very seriously.

"For a while, Ashton was acting as the primary parent because Demi was so out of control," another source told the magazine.

Demi was left devastated last year after reports emerged that her husband of six years had cheated on her on their wedding anniversary.

The couple have since separated, but divorce papers have not been filed yet.
