Hindi film industry's South Indian import, Asin has worked with some of the biggest stars of our generation. Be it Aamir Khan, Salman Khan or Akshay Kumar, she has worked with them all.

But Asin's equation with Salman garnered a lot of attention. They starred together in 'London Dreams' and 'Ready' and developed a friendly bond after working together in back to back films.

It was then rumoured that Salman had bought her a plush flat in Mumbai. Neither Asin nor Salman reacted to the link up rumour or about the flat.

But now that Salman's supposed friendship with his 'Kick' co-star Jacqueline Fernandez is making news, the gossip about Asin and Salman got a new lease of life. Similar rumours started cropping up and this time comparisons were made between Asin and Jacqueline.

Like Asin, it was also stated that Salman has bought a flat for Jacqueline as an ode to their growing friendship. While Jacqueline chose to ignore the gossip, Asin decided to shut the detractors once and for all.

She opened up and cleared that nobody ever bought anything for her. "These rumours are utterly baseless. Salman is a great co-star and a dear friend. However, I’m proud to say that I’ve always done things on my own, and that includes all my major purchases," said Asin.

While Jacqueline chose to maintain silence, Asin decided to speak for herself and so did Salman. The hunky star announced that there was no truth in the gossip. "There's a rumour that I bought a flat for Jacqueline. I stay in a one-bedroom house myself, so why would I buy her a flat. My house is so small that I could not even invite her to my place," he chuckled as he confessed the truth.

 We hope these clarifications are enough for the gossip mongers to put an end to these baseless stories.
