August 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It is a time for celebration as director Vinayan's latest directorial venture Yakshiyum Njaanum is going to hit theatres tomorrow. Initially, he was denied permission to release the movie and was almost on the verge of shelving the project. However, the gain of the requisite permission has relieved him of the disturbing concerns.
The impediment on the way of the film's release was from the Film Chamber simply because the producer of the movie was not one of the members of the Producers' Association. In a meeting held yesterday, the Film Chamber took a decision to grant release permission to the director. It is reported that the producer expressed his regrets for having got the movie a censor certificate by transgressing the rules and regulations of the Film Chamber.
As per reports from inside the industry, the Exhibitor's Association had forced the Film Chamber to lift off the ban on the movie's release. Though everything is going smooth prior to the release of the film, Vinayan expressed his fear that the producer may reap a loss of 50 lakhs as the movie is going to be screened in the month of Ramzan fasting. As many as 71 centers across the state will witness the movie's release.
