Bappi Lahiri sings for Karuppampatti

Bappi Lahiri, one of India's celebrated musicians, is all set to lend his voice to a sensational song for a Tamil movie. The last song he sung was 'Ooh la la' from The Dirty Picture, which was a huge hit. Not only has he sung, but also has composed more than 1000 songs in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

Now the news is that Prabhu Raja Cholan, who is directing Karuppampatti has made the singer lend his voice for a song in the film. When asked why Bappi Lahiri, the director said, "Post-'Kolaveri', more world audience are looking up at the Tamil film industry. This song is made for them. So, we decided to go for a popular singer."

Impressed by the music, Bappi Lahiri even took the film's music director Kannan and director Prabhu Raja Cholan to a party.

This film will star Ajmal, Aparnaa Bajpai, MS Baskar, Jagan, Srinath, Devadarshini and Chetan. Santhosh is  handling the camera and B Lenin is editing.
