The success of Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Barfi' has left the world stunned and is in awe of its simplistic, yet so inspiring story about the happiness of life.
The fact that the film has done really good business despite its unconventional story has further increased the team's hope, which is now looking forward to break boundaries with the sweetness of 'Barfi'.
While the film has already been selected for a few international film fests, film's director Anurag Basu wants to now release it in English as well.
"I've to confess we're toying with the idea of putting out an English version of the film. I cannot say much about that right now," said Anurag who missed the opportunity to take the film to Toronto.
"The film has been to the Pusan and Marrakesh film festivals. The only reason it isn't at the Toronto Film Festival is because we were too busy releasing the film worldwide to take it to Toronto. But those sections of non-Indian viewers who have seen 'Barfi' say it has the potential to break through the language barrier," added an optimistic Anurag.
It remains to be seen how soon our desi 'Barfi' goes international.
