(Cover) - -No story type selected- - Ben Affleck reportedly once lost a $400,000 hand while playing poker.

The actor is one of many other celebrities, including Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon, who have been linked to a Hollywood poker ring.

In an expose by Star magazine, the father-of-two reportedly lost the large hand to Universal Studios president Ron Meyer, father of Tobey's wife Jennifer.

"Ben busted big," an insider told the publication. "He drummed up a giant tab, and then all of a sudden he disappeared from the game. He wasn't seen for months."

Ben, who is now married to Jennifer Garner, reportedly took a while to pay the Hollywood honcho. But the actor finally paid off the debt and started to play again said to be around the time he was engaged to Jennifer Lopez in 2004.

The gambling ring has come under fire recently after a law suit was filed against Beverly Hills fund manager Bradley Ruderman.

Bradley is accused of embezzling $25 million of investor funds in a Ponzi scheme in a desperate bid to try and may off his gambling debts. (C) Cover Media
