(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Natalie Portman has reportedly called her baby son Aleph, which is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
The 30-year-old actress gave birth to her first child with fianc Benjamin Millepied on June 14 and has been very quiet about details of her newborn.
But according to Israeli television show Good Evening With Guy Pines, the couple have given the three week old the name that can also be spelled Alef.
In Judaic Kabbalah, the name relates to the origin of the universe and the "primordial one that contains all numbers".
It is also similar to the first letter of the Greek alphabet, Alpha.
Natalie, who won this year's best actress Oscar for her role in Black Swan, met Benjamin on the set of the movie where he was choreographer of the intricate ballet scenes.
She has said she wants to take a considerable amount of time off to focus on motherhood. (C) Cover Media
