Beyonc Knowles has been named People magazine's most beautiful woman.

The publication provides a list of the most gorgeous stars every year. In 2012, it's been decided that new mother Beyonc is deserving of the crown, which Jennifer Lopez scooped last year.

In the accompanying interview, Beyonc discusses how her three-month-old daughter Blue Ivy has changed her life.

"I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth," she said. "I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth."

The 30-year-old is enjoying all aspects of parenting, even changing her baby's diapers. She has also been singing to the tot, explaining she has made up songs which are just for Blue.

The star's husband Jay-Z is just as excited about being a dad. So far Blue hasn't take after either of her parents when it comes to her looks.

"She looks like Blue. She's her own person," Beyonc explained.

"The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy. The word 'love' means something completely different now."

Also featured on the list are Sofa Vergara, Charlize Theron, Lily Collins, Christina Hendricks, Michelle Williams and Miranda Lambert. Adding a touch of class to proceedings is Britain's Duchess of Cambridge, who married Prince William a year ago.

Beyonc has been included on People's World's Most Beautiful list eight times before. Julia Roberts also gets a mention, her 13th, while Nicole Kidman makes the grade for the tenth time.

The rundown isn't all about women though, with some guys getting in the action too. Soccer star David Beckham, Ashton Kutcher and Bradley Cooper are all included.
