(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Billy Ray Cyrus was instrumental in helping his daughter Miley reunite with her ex-boyfriend.

Miley and Liam Hemsworth met and began dating while shooting The Last Song in 2009, but split last August. They have now reunited, and its been claimed it was Mileys father who helped get the romance back on track.

Billy and Miley have had some problems of their own recently, after he split from her mother Tish and then publicly said he was worried about the effect becoming famous at a young age was having on her. He was since backtracked from the comments, and has reunited with Tish.

Keen to repair his fractured relationship with 18-year-old Miley, he decided to get in touch with Liam.

He was determined to get back in her good graces. Miley hadnt gotten over Liam and Billy Ray thinks hes good for her, a source told National Enquirer. So he did what he could to help get them back together.

Billy apparently phoned 21-year-old Liam and discussed the reasons his romance with Miley hadnt worked. He made him see relationships sometimes take work, and now the pair couldnt be happier.

Miley would have killed Billy if shed known, but it led to Liam getting in touch with her, the source added. Now they are doing really well. (C) Cover Media
