After spending 40 glorious years in the Hindi film industry, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor who turns 60 today, is delighted to have a new project on his plate. On this happy occasion, publishing house HarperCollins, India announced the publication of the actor's autobiography.
Born on September 4, 1952, Rishi Kapoor has an impressive repository to his name, that includes more than 130 films. From the cult classic 'Bobby' in 1973 to one of the later releases - 'Do Dooni Chaar' with wife Neetu Singh, in 2011, Rishi Kapoor has been a reputed and much loved artist for decades. 'Mera Naam Joker', 'Amar Akbar Anthony', 'Prem Rog' and 'Chandni' are some of the prominent films in his Bollywood career. He won the National Film Award (1971) for the Best Child Artist in 'Mera Naam Joker', Filmfare Best Actor Award (1974) for 'Bobby' and Filmfare Critics Award (2011) for Best Actor in 'Do Dooni Chaar'. His most recent avatar as 'Rauf Lala' saw him portraying a negative character with equal elan.
