3rd September 2010

September 3, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): BLIND GUARDIAN from Germany recently attained the maximum first week sales numbers in the USA, in their collective existence.

Their tenth album sold over 4,500 units and was called 'At The Edge Of Time'. The band soon enough secured the top spot on the Billboard Heat seekers chart. The band also debuted at #108 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, which is quite good.

In Canada, album debuted at rank 18 at the Top Hard Music Albums chart and scored a 108th rank on the Top 200 chart as per the Nielsen Canadian Soundscan.

The lead singer and lyricist of BLIND GUARDIAN, Hansi Kürsch, was justifiably very delighted and said that he was very happy to know that the band's Northern American following also received the album with such joy and such closeness.

He also says that the band cannot wait to perform these songs live in front of their following and is very excited to do the same.

These power metal legends have been releasing albums of sheer brilliance and them scoring the Numero Uno spot is truly justified and well earned. The band also shot to fame as their musical works were also inspired by fantasy authors like J. R. R. Tolkien, Stephen King, and Michael Moorcock.
