It came as a shock to the Malayalam film industry and to the whole country when news about Malayalam actress Bhavana being abducted by her own driver and his six friends went viral on the internet. The actors there down South showed their support by arranging for rallies and expressing their views via various social media platforms. While it can happen to anyone anywhere and at anytime, Bollywood celebs too are concerned about the safety of women in the society. Criticising this incident, many actors took to Twitter and expressed their anger. Some of the tweets read:
