Filmmaker Boney Kapoor has been on top of the world ever since his wife's comeback film 'English Vinglish' did well and is still doing well in theatres. Busy gearing up for his next films, Boney talks about making 'Mr. India'.
The producer clearly stated that he is not remaking the movie but will be making a sequel to the first one. He further added, that he would introduce a new villain in it.
The original film had Amrish Puri playing the antagonist 'Mogambo', which was a high point in the film.
When asked about the baddie, here is what Boney had to say, "Obviously, there won't be a Mogambo unless we are remaking the same film. As of now, we don't have plans of remaking the same film. We are working on a sequel. If there is a sequel, Mogambo won't be there, there would be a new villain."
Earlier it was heard that Salman Khan was suppose to play 'Mogambo' in the film (read news) but Kapoor stated that if he had a chance he would take Salman in all his films. But this is not in his hands, it depends on the script.
Like the original, Sridevi and Anil Kapoor will be seen in the sequel as well. The team is still finalizing the script and once that is done everything will fall in place.
As of now, Boney is busy with 'No Entry Mein Entry', a film that has over ten actors and actresses combined. He will start work on 'Mr. India' sequel, once the former is complete.
