(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Brandi Glanville is apparently turning into the new "mean girl" on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and its all for ratings.

The reality star, who is the ex-wife of Eddie Cibrian, is reportedly trying to make her presence felt to keep her place on the hit show.

RadarOnline claims that Brandi has upped her mischievous behaviour for the upcoming season that is currently being taped.

"Brandi has been extremely chummy with Lisa Vanderpump this year," a source told the site.

"She just doesn't seem to be in a good place right now, and she has been definitely hitting the bottle a lot harder this year during filming, which is cause for concern."

"It's hard to tell if it's the alcohol that is the cause for the drastic mood changes, if it's just Brandi trying to be provocative, or if she feels pressure to act a certain way during filming."

Brandi recently said that she feared she would "physically hurt" Eddie's new wife LeAnn Rimes after seeing her with her two children. (C) Cover Media
