(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Carey Mulligan was so nervous when kissing Johnny Depp, 16 of their kisses were cut from a movie.

The two stars appeared alongside each other in 2009's Public Enemies. They had to shoot several steamy scenes, but Carey admits anxiety got the better of her.

"I had to kiss him several times. It was 16 times, but it was cut out of the film because I looked so uncomfortable," she laughed. "I was kissing Johnny Depp and I got really nervous."

Part of the problem was that Carey was just starting out in her career. However, she admits to still getting starstruck at times.

She has been shooting The Great Gatsby with Leonardo DiCaprio recently, and that's also caused problems.

The 26-year-old has been a huge fan of the Hollywood star for many years and keeps recalling movies he's been in when they are together.

"I grew up watching everything he's ever done and it's difficult as I have to hide my inner fan when I am around him - it's terrible," she told UK talk show host Graham Norton.

"He claims not to be able to dance when we do a dancing scene and I have to hide the fact that I know he can because I saw him dance in Titanic." (C) Cover Media
