September 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Carrie Underwood thought that her foray into the acting world will be an absolute disaster but after the screening of her upcoming movie "Soul Surfer" she thinks otherwise. Apparently, the singer thought that she was not cut out for acting at all but during the screening of her film she found herself to be quite good.
Carrie Underwood said, "I really like how everything turned out, including myself". In a recent interview, Underwood went on the record "I was really expecting the worst from myself, and I really surprised myself."
The Grammy winning country superstar singer plays the role of a youth counselor in the upcoming film. The movie is based on the life of Bethany Hamilton, who lost one of her arms in a shark attack. Carrie said "It's definitely an uplifting movie, everybody would definitely feel a lot better coming out than they did coming in."
Although Underwood gave herself good marks for acting skills, she still does not feel confident enough about doing lead role. She said "There are people that are absolutely amazing actors and actresses, and I am not one of those, though who's to say one day, you never know, maybe I will be."
Carrie Underwood also said that singing is her first love and there is no way singing will take a backseat for her film projects. Right now Carrie is all set to host the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville on November 10 with Brad Paisley.
